This lithograph was created after a gouache by Pablo Picasso created in 1958. It was printed by Atelier Mourlot in Paris France. Picasso donated the original gouache to the French political organization "Combat Pour La Paix" in 1958 with express permission to create a hand signed lithograph edition of 300 and an unsigned edition of 1000. This image was also used in the publication "Le Patriote" by Combat Pour La Paix as evidenced with the provided photograph which is for research purposes only.

The copy of Le Patriote is not included with this artwork. SIGNATURE : This artwork is hand signed by Pablo Picasso in the lower right quadrant and numbered 249/300 in the lower left quadrant. Artwork is in excellent condition. This artwork is framed and matted in a beautiful archival gold gilded hardwood frame with an inner gold wood fillet. The dimensions of the image are: 19 x 14.5 inches.

The dimensions of the sheet are: 25.5 inches x 19.5 inches. The paper bears the Arches script watermark.

The framed dimensions are an impressive 37 x 31 inches. The frame is in very good condition, however, the plexiglass has a few scratches. Picasso hand signed artwork with this many colors and large format commands a major premium from fine art investors. This artwork will prove to be a fine art investment that will appreciate for generations to come. PROVENANCE : This artwork came from an estate in San Francisco, California, USA.
