GEORGE BISHOP MERCURY 7 Signed Framed Numbered Lithograph Astronaut Autographs

  

This print was published to inaugurate and finance the Mercury 7 Foundation, a non profit national scholorship fun formed by the Mercury astronauts for promising young students in science and technology. This print has been hand-signed by the Mercury Astronauts.

This is a very rare example, as it contains 6 of the 7 astronauts signatures and Betty Grissom on behalf of Gus who died in 1967 in the Apollo 1 fire. The astronauts signed in pencil (no autopen, no fading) largely and clearly next to their respective mission patches. The signatures are gem mint examples and EXTREMELY RARE, especially all in one place.

John Glen is the only remaining member of the group who is still alive. Virgil "Gus" Grissom, USAF (signed by Betty Grissom). Walter "Wally" Schirra, US Navy.

Item is in excellent condition with absolutely no damage to the print. It has been in a frame for the majority of its life. The frame is in good condition with no scratches or loosening of the glass. The back has yellowed with age.
