Leighton studied at the Alberta College of Art with her future husband A. A member of the Canadian Society of Painter-Etchers and Engravers and the Albert Society of Artists, Leighton produced a number of color woodblock prints in the 1930s based on her husband's watercolors. In 1974 Leighton opened the Leighton Art Centre near Calgary, Alberta ---- a museum, gallery, and education center. This print on thin paper, likely from the 1930s, is signed lower right, numbered 44/100 lower center, and is titled "Mount Fay, Moraine Lake" lower left.
It measures 12" x 15" (sight size). It is in good condition although the colors appear to have faded and the paper is slightly rippled. It is not laid down. In an older frame and mat.
