Warhol installed this monochromatic wallpaper in conjunction with his 1983 exhibition titled "Paintings for Children" organized by his art dealers gallery in Zurich, Switzerland. The exhibition Toy Paintings was intended for young children and consisted of silkscreen paintings of toy animals and cars, hung at eye-level so the young attendees could then easily view the works and the wallpaper.
