Controversially displayed, then quickly removed from the 1964 Worlds Fair, the portraits of criminals in Warhol's'Most Wanted' series transformed criminal mug-shots into celebrity portraiture. Fascinated with not just the glamourous and beautiful, but also with the dark and dangerous side of celebrity throughout his career, Warhol's'Most Wanted' series represents an important moment in Warhol's exploration of fame. This is a rare, large scale original poster from the "Most Wanted Men" exhibition at Gagosian in 1988.
