SUMMARY: King of Pop Art, Andy Warhol made the King of Pop Michael Jackson, his subject in this spectacular work from 1984. Wearing the famous red leather jacket from his Thriller video, Jackson's portrait is a brilliant depiction, with Warhol's unique use of bright colours creating an unforgettable piece. A version of this sitting was used for the cover of Time magazine that same year.. An item of the highest quality, it was commissioned by El Mundo of Spain in 2007.

It bears the title and artist with year below the plate, and verso the support are corroborative details in Spanish, with reference catalogued in lead.
