Content, watching the world go by the gentleman is blind to the oncoming danger as he looks the other way. The danger is depicted to the right of the artwork where Banksy has stencilled an ominous, imposing, dark black bandsaw hurtling towards the man on the bench. The Bandsaw tears through the ground of everything in its path.In many of these British seaside towns people settle here after retirement & often the last stop. It is believed that Banksy depicts this in the artwork of Wetson Super Mare.
This rather eerie image could simply comment on the ultimate finality of life, or perhaps its Banksy's observations on how oblivious we can be in our day to day. Weston Super Mare was also the location of Banksy's 2015.Which took over a derelict theme park the.
