Successors to Ticknor and Fields. Leather-bound, green with gold engraving on cover and spine. Condition fair to poor, with fragile spine in poor condition. All pages intact and unmarked, with illustrations protected with flyleaf. Foxing and end wear consistent with age.

(21 full page), engravings by A. Original green cloth with elaborate gilt cover & gilt decorated spine. Book is worn, with obvious shelf wear, and a Fair/Fair+ copy.

Cloth loss to head of spine, bumped corners and fray on upper and lower edges. Spine is fragile, and front end pages are loose. Inside front and back hinges cracked top to bottom.

Tissue guards present, most with slight to extensive foxing. Engravings pages all intact, some very clean, others with foxing. All pages intact, with gilt edges, and bound; pages clean without marks, smudges, or fingerprints. No owners signatures or pencil or pen marks anywhere visible.
