For sale is a heavily hand-finished (with spray paint, crayon, pen, pencil) seven colour screen print by celebrated French contemporary and urban artist, Dran. Despite the significant variation in styles, and everything being subjective, I have always considered this to be one of the strongest images and one which benefits from being quite individual (there were a fair few riffs on several themes). Over the vandalized spray painted wall the kid is busying himself by writing in crayon'je n'écrirais pas sur les murs' which translates as, more or less,'I will not write on the walls'. I've always assumed the text to be a referencing the rather earnest Demis Roussos song'On écrit sur les murs. This is a good sized image dimensions are for the paper only, framed size is approximately 10cms more on both height and width and has a lot of visual appeal and impact.
