A wonderful art deco aviation age progress minded image titled "The Spirit of Progress" by the talented Ruehl Frederick Heckman with a glorious image of a bridge blanketed on all sides with images of transportation, with bold bright colors and art deco streamlined style. A moving, soaring view of the newly opened Bay Bridge that spans Oakland to San Francisco, a Depression era public works project that gave inspiration to the public during those dark days.
